TEACHING

Nidhi’s background as an actress combined with her extensive training in Psychotherapy and the Healing Arts have become her foundation and everyday tool for further growth, healing and creativity.

Her work is intuitive and perceptive, drawing from her rich educational background as well as her personal journey. SINGING

As a performer Nidhi’s focus is on being present and sharing with her audience what arises, in a creative way.
Voice and expression have always been strong and important elements of her work. She experiences that the singing voice more than anything is a direct expression of our hearts – baring its tenderness, longings and joy – as well as the fear which shields it - and that much healing and balance is possible when we are able to gently allow our song to unfold.
Teachers on her own singing journey include Nancy Lunney, Warren Barigian, Pilar Montaine, the school of Roy Hart and many others.
Her musical choices range widely and include material by contemporary artists such as Sarah McLachlan, Melissa Etheridge, Jewel and Natalie Merchant as well as her own compositions, jazz standards, the music of Brecht and Weil and improvisation.
She weaves together a tapestry of songs that move her and through them shares her experience of life and being human.
